1. Advocating for World Language & Culture Education
   OFLA works hard to ensure world language education stays a priority at both the state and national levels. We’re advocating for policies that support language programs, teachers, and students, so that everyone benefits from strong, well-funded language education. Your membership helps to amplify our voice in these critical conversations.
2. Conferences and Professional Development
   One of the most visible benefits of your membership is our annual conference, where Ohio’s language teachers come together to learn, share ideas, and connect. These gatherings are helpful for staying updated on the latest teaching methods and strategies. Whether it’s helping a beginning teacher attend the conference or supporting a 3rd grader learning German at Camp OFLA language journey, you’re directly contributing to meaningful opportunities that empower both educators and learners. 
4. Camp OFLA
   Camp OFLA, OFLA’s largest advocacy project, is a summer camp for elementary students where they can immerse themselves in language learning. This camp not only sparks a love of languages in young learners but also lays the groundwork for their future studies and professional endeavors.  Your membership helps make this special experience possible!
