OFLA Conference/AATF Ohio

In Ohio we are fortunate to have an active foreign language association that strives to support each language teacher in every corner of the state. A major undertaking of the organization is sponsoring the annual conference, which will be held this year at Kalahari Resort April 16-18, 2015.  A host of workshops and seminars are offered by national experts and Ohio’s best language teachers who share ideas to rejuvenate you and invigorate your program.

Each year at OFLA, AATF holds a brief business meeting for members in attendance at the conference with traditional refreshments. Make plans to join us! See you at Kalahari!

Membership Info

A major focus of Ohio AATF is to support regional and state programming, scholarships and more.  If you are an “at-large” member of AATF, you are not an official Ohio AATF member.  Please contact HQ at aatf@frenchteachers.org so we can count you among Ohio’s finest!

WSU French Immersion Day

Wright State University held its annual French Immersion Day for upper-level high school French students as part of National French Week activities.  About 200 French students from the Miami Valley and beyond convened on campus, promising to speak only French. This year’s theme was “La Gaule.” Fun and engaging activities helped the students discover the early inhabitants of France, her heroes, legends and cultural traditions.  Kirsten Halling, Pascale Abadie, Karin Ould-Daddah and Benjamin Hirt organized this yearly event.   Many thanks to the “extraordinaire” WSU French faculty for a job well done!
