Since the last publication of The Cardinal in the fall, The Buckeye Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) has several updates to share.

Firstly, we have a Chapter Poster Contest Coordinator. Her name is Lindsay Dollinger. The Poster Contest Deadline is March 1st, 2017. Additionally, we’ve tried for another immersion chat for Buckeye teachers in Spanish on 12/14, but that event did not spark interest. We’ll probably try a couple more times in the new year to see if we can provide support to teachers that wish to have a free opportunity to practice conversation in Spanish from anywhere in the state. For those looking for a face-to-face opportunity, plans are underway for an immersion weekend for the Buckeye Chapter on April 28-30, 2017. Members should have received an email with updates and a reminder to save the date. We hope to share registration information soon!

Our session for the OFLA conference in March 2017 was recently accepted, so be on the lookout in the OFLA program for a great opportunity to gather authentic resources and connect with other professionals.
