Do you remember your first few years of teaching? Maybe you were a rockstar from the get go, or maybe you were like most of us who struggled with classroom management, who had ambitious goals but a lack of time, who were trying to differentiate to reach all students, while  keeping up with all of the extras. Whether you are there now or it is a distant memory, we would love for you to help us to provide scholarships to future professional development events that would benefit pre-service teachers, new teachers, and more experienced teachers. Don’t worry, we’re not just asking you to fork over money; we’re asking you to take a few minutes between sessions at our joint CSCTFL/OFLA conference next month to look at all of our amazing raffle baskets! We’ve got some great contenders this year. As of January 19th, we have 15 baskets ready to go with more trickling in each day. 

For our shoppers, a $100 Target gift card and a $25 Oriental Trading gift card would be great to help cushion the blow! For families across Ohio who love checking out the animals, we have tickets to the Cincinnati Zoo and Aquarium, the Columbus Zoo, and the Akron Zoo. For our sports fans, we have a fan basket from the Cleveland Browns, four lower bowl tickets for the Monsters, and four tickets for the Akron Rubber ducks. Do all of these places sound fun but a bit far for you? No worries! Put your raffle tickets in for the Sheetz $50 Zcard basket to get a tank of gas for the day trip. 

We also have a beach themed basket, a relaxation basket, and a teacher basket! For our youngest scientists, COSI has donated a science kit, which is sure to please. Coffee lover? Starbucks has put together a wonderful assorted basket for us! There are plenty of others to make sure we have something for everyone.

All proceeds of the raffle will go towards the OFLA scholarship fund, so you can rest assured that while your chances of winning are great, your chances of helping another teacher are 100% guaranteed. We are very grateful for your help, so bring some cash and come find us at the conference!  The CSCTFL/OFLA Joint conference brings 12 states together so there will be 12 states’ worth of colleagues coming together to share their ideas, strategies, and research to help you continue to do great things in your classroom.
