Welcoming a new officer!

AATSP Buckeye is pleased to introduce our new Executive Vice President/Treasurer Elizabeth Becker. Ms. Becker has been appointed by the executive board to fill the needed office. She first expressed interest in the continuation of AATSP Buckeye at our Annual Immersion weekend in October 2014. Since then, Ms. Becker has held a position as a middle school Spanish teacher at the Elida Local School District. She has presented at various conferences including at OFLA 2015 in Sandusky. AATSP Buckeye is happy to have Ms. Becker on the board and is excited for what the future holds for AATSP Buckeye.

Future Events

Future events for AATSP Buckeye include our fourth annual Immersion Weekend, tentatively at Mohican State Park in Loudonville, Ohio, during the second weekend in October. An email will be sent out on the OFLA listserv for confirmation.

Many members have asked about and suggested holding workshares, where participants can bring activities or lessons that they have used or created for class to share their ideas with other participants, throughout the state for members of AATSP. We would like to set up workshares in the North West, North East, South West, and Southeast regions of Ohio. If you or your school would be willing to host a workshare, please contact William Langley at wlangley@delphoscityschools.org.

At the OFLA/Central States 2016 joint conference in Columbus AATSP Buckeye will be holding our annual business meeting for Buckeye Members as well as a workshare for all AATSP members.
