Immersion Weekend 2015

The AATF-Ohio Immersion Weekend celebrated its 12th anniversary this past September. Approximately twenty teachers gathered in beautiful Mohican State Park for a wet end-of-summer weekend. Even though the weather wasn’t super, teachers and friends did have a good time chatting, watching francophone films, and playing and learning new French card games. We also enjoyed a nice potluck dinner thanks to the tasty francophone dishes all participants brought!

A special thank you to a few key people who really help pull off this fantastic weekend. Wendy Duffy kindly prepared three different soupe estivale all hungry participants arriving Friday evening. Karine Daddah, our secrétaire/trésorière handled all the logistics, shopping and communication leading up to the weekend. Merci beaucoup à vous deux!

French Film Club Selection: La famille Bélier

AATF-Ohio has selected the film La famille Bélier to discuss at the joint 2016 CSCTFL-OFLA conference. Strategies and activities for in-class use will be shared, following a viewing of short clips.

Grand Concours Update

The Grand Concours will be offering an on-line version of the Concours in 2016. The on-line version may be done on any device with internet connection: computer, tablet or even smart phone! For at least one year, we will also have paper and pencil testing available, but the cost will be slightly higher and ordering the paper and pencil version must be done by mid-December. Full ordering information will be sent as soon as it is available. Your Chapter Contest Administrator is still available for questions and concerns. Venez nombreux! If you plan to participate in the 2016 Concours with paper and pencil testing, you MUST renew your membership by December 1, 2015 in order to receive the member discount.
