TESOL Update

The Annual Conference for Ohio TESOL took place November 14-16, 2013, at the Columbus Hilton Hotel and the Convention Center. For the first time, site visits were held on Thursday, and each one was sold out. It became a great success, and we are currently looking for more programs to feature next year. Our featured speaker, Deborah Short, was very informative and was a big draw for our attendees.

We had 837 attendees this year, 125 more than last year. Once again, we have outgrown our venue; therefore, next year’s conference (Nov. 14-15) will have all its sessions at the Convention Center while holding the hotel rooms only at the Hilton.

Ohio has been chosen by TESOL International to hold its Summer TESOL Academy in Columbus this year. It will be held at the Ohio State University so keep a look out for further information.
