This is a reminder to those of you who join/renew by means other than the OEA payroll deduction plan. You may have recently joined and/or renewed your OFLA Membership for the 2016-17 school year in order to attend the 2017 OFLA Annual Conference. PLEASE BE ADVISED that your membership is paid up to 1 September 2017. In mid-August you will receive a reminder to renew for the 2017-18 school year. This is not a mistake! For a one-year Professional Member, the OFLA Membership year runs September 1st of the current year up to September 1st of the following year. There is no pro-rated plan for joining or renewing at any other time during the year.

I hope you were all able to implement some fresh new ideas into your teaching as you ended the school year and are ready to plan an engaging, energizing and exciting September. As I have said before, “If you had a tough year, you need OFLA. But if you had a great year, OFLA needs you!” We want to help celebrate your successes and offer help for your difficulties in the World Language classroom.
